In the late 19th century modes of transportation consisted of land and sea bound vehicles: trains, cars, boats, etc. Unlocking air travel, the Wright Flyer was revolutionary in how it changed the way people viewed the world of transportation. Transportation is now three dimensional instead of being constrained to a two dimensional plane. Bodies of water can now be crossed with little to no hassle, and mountains no longer act as barriers preventing passage. Getting people from point A to B changed drastically, now being easier than ever before.
